Privacy Policy

How Vintera.wine handles information about you and your collection.

1. Who we are

Vintera.wine is the working company name for a wine collection information service intended to operate from the United Arab Emirates. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Vintera.wine. The full registered entity, licence number, registered address, privacy contact and applicable mainland or free-zone jurisdiction will be inserted before public launch.

2. This preview and future services

This draft describes the current local preview. Accounts, hosted collection storage, payments, marketing subscriptions and live trading are not enabled. Before introducing those services, we will update this notice with the actual data flows, service providers and applicable legal grounds. This document does not authorise new uses of your data.

3. Information processed in the preview

When you select an inventory and catalogue, the application reads their contents in your browser to interpret wine rows, identify possible matches and display a collection. Files may contain names, merchant details, prices, quantities, locations, notes or other personal information that you included. Please remove unrelated personal information and provide only files you are entitled to use.

Review evidence includes original rows, file names, file fingerprints, matching settings, results and timestamped confirmation choices. Selecting a file is optional; matching cannot run without the required inventory and catalogue.

4. Where information goes

The current importer does not send selected file contents or review choices to Vintera.wine servers, catalogue providers or an external AI service. It processes them in the browser. Downloading review evidence creates a file on your device; sharing that export is your decision. The preview does not upload collections for model training or sell their contents.

Your browser requests application pages, scripts and fonts from the server running this preview. The server may process ordinary request information needed to deliver those resources, such as a network address and requested URL. A hosted deployment’s providers, logs, recipients, retention and international transfers must be documented before launch.

5. Retention and security

The collection and confirmations are held in application memory during the open session. Reloading resets that session; closing it ends the application’s active use of that information. Original files and exported copies remain on your device until you remove them. The app cannot delete copies you have saved or shared elsewhere.

Protect access to your device and exported files. Browser processing reduces disclosure through the importer, but does not make a compromised device secure. For a hosted service we will document access controls, deletion processes, backup periods and incident handling before collecting customer information.

6. Cookies and communications

The current application does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, marketing cookies or persistent collection storage. Fonts are bundled with the application. Browser or operating-system behaviour is separate from these application features. If optional tracking or marketing is introduced, its purpose and choices will be explained before use, and consent will be obtained where required.

7. UAE privacy framework and your choices

The applicable privacy regime will depend on the registered entity and its activities. UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 may apply; free zones with their own data protection laws, including DIFC and ADGM, require separate assessment. Other countries’ mandatory protections may also apply to customers there. We have not assumed that one regime covers every user.

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or cessation of processing, withdrawal of consent and objection to qualifying automated decisions. These rights may have lawful exceptions. The final policy will identify the applicable regulator and request channel. Wine matching suggests product identities; this preview does not decide credit eligibility or execute transactions.

8. Contact, complaints and updates

Privacy contact: to be confirmed before launch. No privacy-request form or monitored privacy mailbox is currently provided by this preview. You can stop local processing by closing the session, and manage original and exported files on your device. Once a contact channel is published, we will explain identity verification and handle requests within applicable legal requirements. Your right to complain to a competent authority is unaffected.

The launch version must specify the lawful basis for each processing purpose, recipients and transfer safeguards, retention periods, complaint authority and children’s-data arrangements. Material changes will be communicated as required. The date above identifies this draft, not an effective date for a customer contract.
